An Overview of Crescent County

With the increased residents residing in Crescent County, aspiring city planner Joshua Byall was called into duty to display his potential. He redid most, if not all of Crescent County; the structures, the plants, they were all his doing. (Or, in a better sense, his planning).

So, let's have a neighborhood overview to determine just how well he did:

1-Shoreview
2- Orashire
3-Deso City
4- Blue County
5- East Crescents
6- Linden Park
7- Matherview

Jobs in Demand:
Law Enforcement/Law/Penal System
Medical
Education

Businesses in Demand:
Banks
Grocery Shops
Automobile Shops
Bars
Pharmacy

So far, I think Joshua really proved himself. Linden Park needs some homes, and the college by the water tower is still under construction, but there's plenty of housing and plenty of land for any incoming homes or businesses.

First Annual Fundraiser

Last night was the first annual fundraiser held at the luxurious Lemn Hotel.
Love was in the air, but not everyone was feeling it as seen in this photo. Lucas and Madeline shyed away from each other throughout the entire event; even eating at separate tables!

Helena Jitmakusol, daughter of Phil and Je'Tamie Jitmakusol, was seen slow dancing with her fiancee Joshua Byall.

Not every sim was so civil, however. Countessa Valerie Jitmakusol (no relation) was once a valued guest of high stature. Now, the Countessa is facing trial, and is no longer a guest of the Mayor's. It doesn't pay to bite the mayor's sister-in-law!

The Countessa was then spotted trying to make a run for it. Luckily, the security cameras embedded in the bamboo caught her, and she was quickly escorted home to prevent any more "accidents".

Nancy was closely examined; except from the fangs, blood-red eyes, and pale(r) skin, she was the same Nancy as before. And thankfully, she caused no trouble.

Lucas was seen being his usual self; obnoxious and full of himself, yet hard to hate. He didn't act as if there were troubles going on at home; but you never know with some sims.

Mandie Jenner was seen chatting up Alakai, looking rather "intense" for their rather docile chat about chess. Could Mandie be crushing on an older (and married!) man? Or is she simply over enthusiastic?

Phil and Je'Tamie, slowly approaching their golden years, still looked as young as ever.

The guests got antsy as the end of the night approached, but they decided to entertain themselves with a game of "kicky ball" that lasted the entire night.

Again; no sight of the Mayor. Is it simply that he's elusive? Or is he purposely hiding from the press?

Mayor of Desolado Village and Crescent County Turns Grey!

Yes, dear readers. Another one bites the grey. Lucienda Ray turned 52 in year 1 B.O.C.
Nearby family celebrated, and when she was asked who gets the title of Mayor, she said that she would hand it to Angel Dion. Many sims couldn't believe it!
But nonetheless, year 2 B.O.C., the first alien of a non-alien dominated neighborhood was elected Mayor of Crescent County.

Currently, no photos are available, but he is related to the webmaster of Crescent County's home site, Alakai (Dion) Miguel. Both Alakai and Angel are Aridia immigrants as well as their parents and their sister, Alora.

Many sims are taking the news of this well, and even some rejoicing; but not everyone's happy about this ordeal.

Let's hope this plays out okay.

Sims You Should Know: Mandie Jenner

Mandie Jenner is an up-and-coming photographer. This red haired, grey-eyed beauty resides in Lemn Valley for the time being. She is best known for some of her recent work; she's done photos for webmasters Alakai and Nancy Miguel, and even photographed the Countessa!
When asked what inspired her, she spoke of her late mentor. "Back when I was an intern and Couderc Photography, I knew I wanted to design. Lydia Couderc was a little known photographer, but she was amazing nonetheless. She's what inspired me to even go down this path!"
Her favorite colors to use are white and burgundy, and her favorite colors are purple and blue.
When asked what it was like to take photographs of well-known people like the Countessa, she said it was a "surreal" experience. "I knew from that moment, my little studio was going to go places." She currently is renting a townhome, and is saving up to buy a home. Check out her studio in Old Town!

Our New Webmaster!

Nancy Miguel was originally just a college dormie; she didn't know her background, her history, not even her parents!
That all changed when her now husband, Alakai (Dion) Miguel, convinced Nancy she was worth so much more than that. "He really inspired me, y'know? He's the one that convinced me Journalism was my true calling."

I was fortunate enough to interview Mrs. Nancy Miguel, and
here's what she had to say:

Q: Were you born in Desolado Village?
A: No, I was not. I was born in, Simcity, I believe. I went to college in Aridia, and that's where I met Alakai. At first, I just thought he was some upsnott rich kid, but he was truly a sweetheart.

Q: Was it hard making the transition from dormie to aspiring journalist?
A: I'm not going to lie; it was horrible! The professors and my employers didn't take me seriously. I felt so alone...but now look! I'm being interviewed by Desolado Village's first mayor! What dormie would have dreamed of that?

Q: Flattery will get you nowhere and everywhere, dear. Now, how was the meeting with Alakai's parents and siblings?
A: Very stressful, at first. I didn't know how they'd react. But surprisingly, they were very supportive of our relationship. I'm even bff's with everyone! I feel I've really "conformed" into this family.

Q: So, what was it like; moving into your first place with Alakai?

A: It was pretty nice, actually. We bought furniture together, and he let me decorate the entire place! The only catch, was that he get to choose the design of the bedroom.

Q:
And do you approve?
A: Actually, it wasn't as horrible as I thought it would be! *chuckles*

Q: So, do you have a picture of the bedroom?
A: No. It's an absolute mess. That's what you get for living with a guy, I guess. *smiles*

Q: So when did you guys marry?
A: We eloped, actually. We didn't have a honeymoon, either. We certainly made up for lost time, though!
Q: Is it safe to say there's going to be a little Miguel or two running around soon?

A: I'd say so, haha!

That concluded my interview with Nancy. I really feel she's going to go places. She's currently still searching for her family history, so good luck to you Nancy!
